Hebrides April 2015 - Day 6

Ok, so firstly another long post of the Hebrides,
all these photos are from day 6 of the tour, all from Skye.

Morning life with the sheep on the croft

Heading to see the Storr. The Storr is part of the Trotternish peninsula.
It's a very famous rocky summit.

The walk continues...

The walk up was quite steep...

There was some great views of these rocky pinnacles

Heading back down...

Distance of our walk - 1.7 miles
Elevation gain - 522 feet
Max. elevation - 1106 feet

Back on the road..

Stumbled upon this..just off the A855, heading south from the Storr

Still some nice views of the Storr

Portree - the largest town in Skye

Nice coloured houses

And off we go again..off to see the Faerie Pools..

Arrival at the carpark, with some great views of the Black Cuillins.

And the walk begins..

The River Brittle

The Faerie Pools begin, clear blue pools of water..

Waterfalls seen around the river

Louise after the feet dipping...

Great colours

Although it was bright it was very windy while talking these photos,
not ideal when using a slow shutter speed and a tripod.

Me - heading back to the car after discovering the Faerie Pools!

More waterfalls discovered as we near the car

Distance of our walk - 2.1 miles
Elevation gain - 411 feet
Max. elevation - 477 feet

Back on the road again..

Dinner in Portree

And heading home.. Storr in the distance.. no escape
