Some information about Abbotsford House-

Abbotsford House is a historic country house and was formerly the residence of the historical novelist and poet - Sir Walter Scott.

He was born in 1771 in the his Presbyterian family's third floor flat on College Wynd in the Old Town of Edinburgh. As a child he had polio. Some of his well known works include - Rob Roy, the Lady of the Lake and The Old Mortality. Throughout his life he accumulated debts and even when he died he still had these. In September 1832 he died in unexplained circumstances at his home in Abbotsford.

This house remains today as one of the most famous houses in the world.

Take a look at my photos on the above link to see the Gardens of this marvelous house.
